a. skimming and scanning for specific information and ideas.
b. extracting main ideas and details.
Specific objectives:
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:
i)                    Answer comprehension questions correctly based on the information from the text.
ii)                   Write a short summary for about 130 words using the correct information from the text.

Newspapers , worksheet , reading text , dictionaries.

  1. Teacher brainstorm with the students to get their opinions about the pictures.

  5. Students underline and explain the main ideas for each paragraph using their own words.
  6. Students do the written exercises.
